About me

I am licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland and DC. I am bilingual English- Spanish. I have experience working with clients from diverse cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds and cultural identities that are experiencing life transition, mood disorder, anxiety, relationship issues, and others. Over the years I have worked in both public and private agencies, as well as my independent practice. Initially the focus of my work was on children and families, but over the years I realized that working with adults and couples had the biggest impact in the life of families.
I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology (Licenciada en Psicología) at Universidad Católica Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion in Asuncion, Paraguay. I pursued a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University in Santa Barbara, California. Later, I obtained a Post-Master’s degree in counseling at John Hopkins University.
